Alright lads,
Another 10 tracks from you both that have brought pleasure to these ears just by being new in the most part, some stayed some didnt and the movers and shakers were the dreamers of the following dreams:
Crazy in Love - everyone secretly loves this record, and why wouldnt you. Beyonce is rudely FIT, the chi-lites riff is brought to the fore tremendously and Jay-Z raps in it. Winner all the way and hell yes about the video - although she has done better ones. And by better I obviously mean more jiggly and revealing. Obviously.
Rage Hard - Im sorry I just dont like this. The first part just disappears off the campometer and off into the distance for me, the riff where the track comes in properly is quite uplifting but its not sustained. There are much better tracks on the album.
6am - as previously advised I fucking love this tune. Its just an immense piano breakbeat combination, absolute killer track thats been on heavy rotation for me. This is what I love about spot when one of you boys drops a tune like this and as hodge would say it becomes your personal heroin for a while - that what music and inded DHS is all bout.
Finished Symphony - well its a classic isnt it ? I need say nothing more.
Symphony No.3 - this is classical music really isnt it, and damn fine it is too. Had it on while reading late at night and very relaxing it was in the background. Half an hour though... fuck me, a proper symphony.
All in all a good selection Kev you spotify hogging hour long hatstand, you.
Trans Europe Express - I just dont like this either im afraid, very camp again and sounds like its about to break into a new romantic track like 'dont you want me' at any moment. That riff isnt bad though, sure Ive heard it in an electro / hip-hop track somewhere...
Rockit - What a selection Hodge ! That tune is fucking seminal, I dont thin you're allowed to own any hip hop if you dont know it - although its more breakdance / electro isnt it. Whatever its a classic, very well played.
Age of love - pointless me saying anything about this, if you dont know already theres something wrong with you. A quality addition to the DHS list - come on dance with me... (Its a cunt to mix though)
Slide - A real builder of a track this one that has grown on me. It doesnt do an awful lot but would work well in a set I reckon, and would definitely get you grooving along. A quality chugger.
People - not really for me this one unfortunately, the effects I just find a bit irritating and not really that musical.
But without further ado gentlemen, its a time to bring another quality DHS to conclusion and I shall try and do the right thing by you all seeing as its me who goes last, and we all know how important that is. I think I might bring some house music to the fore for this selection so we can get all funked up. And while I have no desire to come across all tyrantanic, I think we're gonna have to pump up the jam.
