Let's remind ourselves why we're here - it's about the tunes - simply and only about the tunes. The writing and the blogging is (massively) secondary and a 'nice to have' as opposed to the necessity that is the music. So from here on if updates are made on Spot with no accompanying Blog post then that's fair enough - so much the better if you do want to post a few thoughts/words, but it's far from the focus...
Accordingly, thank you both for closing out DHS12 and your updates to "The Best Of..." - not a bad thing heard and all much enjoyed and appreciated...
... and so, the thirteenth chapter...
As we all know, pretty much every song ever written is about love in one form, shape, guise or flavour - and so my five to open DHS13 are 'love songs' - in ridiculously simplified order they are,
- broken love
- imploring love
- defiant love
- love as genius lyrical metaphors, and
- 'carpe-diem' love
